Privacy Policy
This policy describes the current version of the Help Foster Youth website only. We have kept it short and specific on purpose — it says what the site actually does today, not what a larger site might do later.
No accounts, no payments, no forms
Today this site has no user accounts or sign-in, no donation or payment processing, and no contact, application or organization-submission forms. There is nowhere on the site to give us your name, email address, phone number, mailing address or payment information, and we do not ask for any.
ZIP code searches
When you enter a ZIP code, it is used to build the results page for that area — the ZIP appears in the page address (for example, a page for 95207) and is used to look up resources associated with that area. A five-digit ZIP code describes a general geographic area and does not identify you. We do not link ZIP searches to a person, we do not ask who you are, and we do not build a profile of you.
Analytics and cookies
This site does not include analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and it does not set cookies to track you across sites or visits. As with essentially any website, routine technical request information (such as the page requested) may be processed by the hosting provider in order to serve the page.
Our resource database
Behind the scenes we maintain a private database of organizations, programs and the sources we used to review them. It contains information about organizations, not about visitors. It is not open to public or browser access, and visitors’ searches are not stored in it as personal records.
Other websites
When you follow a link to an organization’s website, that site’s own privacy practices apply. We do not control them.
Children and youth
This site is open to everyone, including young people looking for support. Because we do not collect personal information, there is nothing for a young person to submit here. Please do not send us personal details about a child through any third-party site you reach from here.
Updates to this policy
This policy will be updated before any feature that collects personal or financial information is activated — including accounts, donations, organization submissions, and scholarship or payment features. If those arrive, this page will describe what is collected, why, and how it is handled.
Preliminary and not attorney-approved. This policy should receive legal review before a formal public launch and before any of the features above are activated.
