We Help You Find Programs

Help Foster Youth gathers information about organizations and programs. Usually, we do not run the services listed here. The organization you contact decides who qualifies, what it can provide and whether it has space available.

You do not need to make an account to search. You can start with a ZIP code.

Keep Your Personal Details Private

Please do not send us your full address, placement location, foster care or court records, Social Security number, medical records, school or daily schedule, photos, or information that could identify another young person. We do not need those details to help you find a resource.

If you use Contact Us or Suggest a Resource, share only what is needed for your question or suggestion. If you are under 13, please do not use those forms. Ask a trusted adult to help you contact an organization directly.

Searching for resources does not cause Help Foster Youth to email, call or text you. It also does not notify the organizations in your search results. If you choose to contact an organization, that organization may communicate with you under its own policies.

We Do Not Arrange Private Contact Between Adults and Youth

There is no private messaging, mentoring match or adult-to-youth contact feature on this site. Adults who want to mentor, foster, volunteer or help through a church or organization must go through the program that runs that opportunity. Those programs handle their own applications, screening, training and supervision.

Be careful if someone you meet online offers you money, housing, gifts, a job or mentorship outside an established program, even if they mention Help Foster Youth. Before meeting anyone, talk with your caseworker, CASA/GAL, attorney or another trusted adult.

If You Need Help with Your Own Situation

If you are in foster care and need help with your placement, safety, housing or health, contact someone who can act on your situation: your caseworker, attorney or law guardian, CASA/GAL, independent living worker, or another trusted adult. Help Foster Youth cannot intervene in a case.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. Do not wait for a reply from this website.

Each service has its own practices. If calling or texting could put you at risk because someone monitors your phone, use a safer device or ask a trusted person for help.

Confirm Details Before Relying on a Program

Funding, waitlists, age limits and application requirements can change. A listing’s review date does not promise that a program is available or that you will qualify. Contact the program directly to confirm what it offers and what you need to apply.

If Something Here Is Wrong or Unsafe

If a listing is outdated or an organization raises a concern, email info@helpfosteryouth.org. Please leave out identifying details about yourself or another young person. This inbox is not monitored for emergencies. If a child is being harmed or is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate child abuse reporting hotline or call 911 first.
