If you are under 26, live in Indiana, and were in foster care on your 18th birthday or later — in any state or with a tribe — you may qualify for Indiana Medicaid health coverage regardless of income.

Before you apply
- Have your date of birth and a Indiana address ready.
- Bring anything showing you were in foster care at 18 or older — a court letter, a case number, or a caseworker’s contact. Missing paperwork should not stop you from applying.
- You can apply at any time. Say that you were in foster care at age 18 or older, and say which state you were in foster care in, so it can be verified. Youth who leave foster care at 18 or older are often enrolled automatically — it is still worth checking that your coverage started.
