Young Adult Transitional Insurance (YATI) - Former Foster Youth Medicaid

YATI provides free AHCCCS (Medicaid) health coverage to young adults ages 18 through 25 who were in foster care (state or tribal) on their 18th birthday, continuing until age 26. Coverage includes automatic annual renewal for eligible former foster youth. No income test applies to this eligibility category.

  • Bring anything showing you were in foster care at 18 or older — a court letter, a case number, or a caseworker’s contact. Missing paperwork should not stop you from applying.
