BECOME A FOSTER PARENT

New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department (CYFD)

Become a CYFD Resource/Foster Parent · Statewide

CYFD is the state agency that licenses and supports foster (resource) parents across New Mexico. Adults can start the licensing process online, and the agency provides training, a foster/adoptive information hotline, and ongoing support once licensed. This is the primary statewide pathway for anyone who wants to open their home to a child in state custody.
